Mahboba’s Promise is a not-for-profit organisation providing effective overseas development aid to disadvantaged Afghan women, widows, children, and orphans.
Working with Order of Australia recipient Mahboba Rawi was truly a life-changing experience.
No one works harder than Mahboba to create a safer world for kids and women in need. She’s a force of nature, and someone people find it hard to say ‘no’ to! I feel privileged to have come to know her and play a small role in her important work.
The former Governor-General Dame Quentin Bryce is the organisation’s patron – and another amazing Australia trying to make a better world.
I worked closely with Mahboba, providing strategic and tactical marketing advice and creating content for her website, social media, and other supporter communications.
My aim was to increase their fundraising success and introduce a more professional approach to communications with donors and prospects.
My services:
- Marketing planning – I wrote the organisation’s first marketing plan.
- Direct marketing – I also devised & implemented a number of effective direct mail fundraising campaigns.
- Website copywriting – I reviewed the website copy and design.
- Marketing collateral – I wrote the copy for their main fundraising brochure & posters.
- Email newsletter & blog writing – I wrote articles for the website blog & researched and wrote the supporter newsletter copywriting.
- Social media support – I maintained the organisation’s Facebook posts.
